- In the photograph of the arrest, taken on the porch of a home, it appears that Gates is still yelling so I have to believe that he, too, over-reacted. It's an unfortunate situation that has taken on a life of its own, which, in my opinion, has wandered way out in left field.

- Two days before my 1 year probationary period was up my employer fired me. He said there were "issues" with me. When I asked what the issues were he said he didn't have to tell me anything...and he didn't. I asked why I was not told sooner as I had been there almost a year.
Feds' closed-door deal could ease development

- Public lands are owned by the American public, not GWB, Michael Rey, or Plum Creek. The public needs to become outraged at this "behind closed door" deal.
